    • A: To get MLA II certified, here are the requirements:
    • Experience: One must have 24 months of work experience in the field of machinery condition monitoring using lubricant analysis.

      Training: Holds Machine Lubricant Analyst Level I certification OR qualify without (MLA I certification) or submitting documentation of:

      Minimum 576 hours additional work experience in the field of machinery condition monitoring using oil analysis. This brings total work hours to 960 when combined with the 384 hours already listed above.

      At least 24 hours training relevant to the body of knowledge of MLA I, by attending instructor-led events (such as workshops, seminars, or classes) and/or actual practice or observation.

    • Q: How much time am I given to complete the exam?
    • A: You are given three hours to complete the exam. Due to the pandemic crisis, we now offer online exam.
    • Q: What is the passing grade?
    • A: The exam is a 100-multiple choice exam. The passing grade is 70%.
